I agree with ‘WOW’! Thanks to Max and Jeff for an amazing hour. The idea of having an experiential event has been circling around me for some time and this just gave me the spark (and confirmation) I needed right now. Not only that, but it actually gave me the ‘ping!’ I needed as to what my message is in this moment…starting with a blog. I was stuck at the grounder I needed to begin! Yeees, it took some repetition, but this one hit home.
Even though I haven’t commented, I just want to note that the whole VBU experience has been terrific…love everything about it. Thanks so much Jeff and team.

Max’s authenticity and openness are refreshing and testament to his success. He’s a great role model. Thank you, thank you.
This was very inspiring. Thank-you Max and Jeff. I know when I really hit the truth of what’s inside of me, when I have pages of notes. I’ve written over five pages for Max’s presentation and had a similar experience with Michael Drew’s talk. I know I’m made for live events, I once MC-ed a spoof award ceremony in China for participants who had walked the Great Wall for charity. I was amazed at how much I enjoyed it and how I came alive, I think my colleagues were surprised too! It was such a buzz, I definitely want it to be part of my creative business projects, thanks for reminding me!!
ps VBU comes as close to a live event as you can get online!
Week six and I’m pumped! The idea that I could actually have a sell-out event ( six people) and be able to stop resisting what’s in my DNA, has me so excited!I am such a shy person, with something in my heart, about my brain wreck ( rope-swing swimming accident) that happened when I was 12. I am actually having a blast talking about some nearly devastating things that used to make me cry and feel afraid to reveal those things. What would people think?! Then , a few years ago, I joined a toastmasters club to help improve my memory following another physical setback. But without telling them about my plight, until I reached a level of confidence and leadership. It truly is fun that I have been able to get the executive types in the club to choose to stand up and try the hula, which surprised me and them! I’ve used a vegetable to represent my brain, and in my next talk, I’m coming in on rollerblades.( Don’t tell anyone, it’s a surprise.) A feat for a woman my age, who once had a walker. I am encouraged that being my true self to an audience is entertaining, thrilling and fun, and could be the message I feel in my heart to help others. Thanks Jeff and Max. I love VBU.

The timing is perfect as I’m looking to start doing live events.. I’m definitely a get in front of everyone and talk my heart out kind of person, especially when it helps them make that change that they want for themselves..
Thank you!
Wow, I just have to say that I truly enjoyed this call. Every call has been great in one way or another but I was sincerely touched by Max’s authenticity and great content that he so generously shared with us. I will admit that I was going to skip this call, only because I am not the least bit interested in public speaking and yet this has been the most inspiring call for me to date. I am a squirrel gathering ‘information’ for a future business and I learned so much from this call on so many levels…Max, your father must be so proud of you and although you are still a young man, you have more wisdom within you than you give yourself credit for. Thank you Max and Jeffrey!!!
I looked at Max and the title of his talk today and thought that it would be a chore to listen to as it didn’t really resonate with me.
Quite the contrary, I really enjoyed what he had to say as I must say all of your speakers so far. I seem to be becoming addicted to VBU. You’re doing a great job Jeff and you’re certainly educating me.
Thanks,
Ruth
What sort of business/service/product does better with a live event, or does it depend on the personality of the person in charge? Theoretically, you could put on a seminar about anything, and maybe if you had a dynamic event leader it could be successful no mater what the topic. Even if I go narrow and deep, how do I gauge whether a live event is the best way to connect with my tribe (as opposed to social media, snail mail, or whatever)?
It was fantastic! I’m so impressed by that young entrepreneur, he really is authentic. Thank you for bringing him to VBU, it’s so inspiring listening to such profound people like him, I love it!
It’s so generous of him to share his secrets of live events to us, I’m really delighted to see that the young generation has wise people amongst all the dark surroundings.
All the best,
Klara
I have to admit that I have watched Max in some other video presentations as guest with other webinars and was reluctant to view this one, as they did not resonate with me. However, I am super glad I did attend this event because I did learn and understand a side of Max that I was missing before. His input here was very valuable as I move forward in my venture and I guess I am one of those who is not afraid to be in the front of the room on stage and get the crowd interacting. I have done this in a volunteer capacity many times and had much success which has led me to the level of where I am now. Putting it together from a business model approach is a new light that I need to adjust to. Thanks again Jeff and Max. All the best to Max and his family in their transition stage. Much peace and love!
Dan
Hi Jeff,
I really enjoyed this. The last minute Max talked about his father he grew in a way and his words came to me from a place beyond age and time. It was truely special. When a person is speaking so true from his heart, it is as if the words are coming from our essence of pure being.
I have a passion for being true to myself and just being who I am, beyond our roles, our personas and masks that we usually tend to wear. And when I hear the young ones talking from their hearts like this, it is so heart warming.
I am myself now in my 50+ years and it has taken me so long to get where I am today. I hope that I can cristalize that which I have learned from life and help others to find their own way a lot faster than I did. Max ideas of narrowing it down makes perfect sense to me.
I have overcome my own fear of failure, I have changed my ways of seeing things and found myself capable, I now dare to trust in myself and all these things I would like to share.
Thank you Max for speaking from your inner heart and thank you Jeff for letting us listen to this. Bless you.
Annette
I have not been able to get the whole video presentation. (Any week or presentation) It stops like it is loading, but never gets past the stopping point. This has happened on different computers.
Hi John,
Check out this short video I put together to help with video issues:
http://vbu2010.com/videohelp/
It’s likely that your internet speed isn’t keeping up with the process of the video streaming and if you just pause the video and step away for a few minutes, it will “catch up” and you should be able to stream normally.
All the best,
Jeff
I thought this seminar was “WOW” – it resonated with me, it carried me despite the youth of max, I heard his authenticity, I felt the depth of his character, at least, if not his marketing strategy is bloody good! lol… I wish that I could be investing in all of you: I’m in England, currently contemplating a leap from incapacity benefit as a ‘nutter’ to self-employed status; I’ve run a recovery project for 7 people including myself over the last year or so, and it has been remarkably successful, I’m realising that what I have to share I can’t keep to 6 other people, not only that – the project has been so amazingly successful that I’ve healed myself from a severe, very severe case of ‘manic depression’/'bipolar disorder’ and if I can do that in the face of all medical prognosis, and make a huge dent on others’ disorders too, then I must, perforce, get myself out there and share.. SHARE… while making a living through it somehow…
And this seminar was inspiring in just exactly ‘the right thing at the right time’ kind of way
keep it up boys
I’m impressed!!!!!
Janie,
After knowing a little bit more about you from this comment…now I can say I’M impressed!
Glad you enjoyed Max…I have enjoying getting to know him over the past few months and admire his work immensely.
I’d love to connect with you further about your project. Something about the way you framed it resonated with me.
I’ll contact you directly through your latest customer support inquiry (or should I say “rave testimonial”?)…and let’s see what works out.
All the best,
Jeff
